Leonardo Morales (Chihuahua, Mexico) is a Mexican sculptor whose work offers an in-depth exploration of the human figure and its psychological and symbolic dimensions. He studied Psychology (including a Master’s degree and a diploma in Thanatology) and subsequently completed three years of Fine Arts studies, specialising in Sculpture, at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. He further developed his practice through workshops such as The Wood Carving Workshop with Aron Demetz in Mexico and The Rome Workshops with David Simons in Rome, Italy.
His work has been exhibited both in Mexico and internationally, with notable group exhibitions at institutions including the Museo de Arte Moderno and the Museo Tamayo in Mexico City, as well as the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona. He has also participated in exhibitions at Galerie Benjamin ECK with Kafka’s Unglaubliche Reise in Munich, Germany, and in contemporary art fairs and exhibitions such as Figurativas 2025 and RELICS OF THE FUTURE in BRUTUS GALLERY Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Morales’s work is characterised by an intense physical presence, strong technical exploration, and an ongoing pursuit of dialogue between sculptural tradition and contemporary human experience.
